Have you ever viewed your website on a smartphone? Doesn’t look too good does it? In fact, without a mouse and only a “finger” it’s darn near impossible to navigate. Try clicking on a link with your finger. If you have fat fingers like me, you usually end up clicking on an adjacent link. Now you have to wait until the page loads, then click the back button and start over. Very frustrating. That is why I’ve started designing mobile websites for my clients. Sites that are easy to navigate with big buttons or bars and only the most important information like: about, product or services, video and of course map. The Map page has NAP (Name, Address and Phone Number) of my client. In addition, their email, the hours of operation and a click to call feature so when the mobile user is satisfied they have the information they need and want to call you, the click to call feature makes my client one tap away from receiving a call from a new mobile customer, client or patient.
